Taste Buds Catering Ltd (TBC) terms & conditions are accepted fully by the client when an event is booked in writing and (where applicable) payment of a deposit is received.
Menu & Pricing
Function Prices are correct at time that they are quoted and based on an estimated minimum number of guests. In the event of the number of guests reducing below the minimum number quoted, the full minimum function price will be due. Increased numbers can normally be accommodated up 20 working days prior to the event.
Whilst we do our best to maintain quoted prices, under exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right to amend prices up to 6 weeks prior to the event. Exceptional circumstances include food & wage inflation greater than 5%.
VAT will be charged at the rate prevailing on the date of the invoice (normally the date of the function)
Orders under £500
Orders will be confirmed by email or phone. If your order is not correct or you have not received confirmation by 12 noon the day before delivery, please contact us.
Orders over £500:
When a reservation is verbally booked, clients have 15 working days to confirm the provisional booking by returning their booking form and making payment of a non-refundable deposit of £400 or 10%, whichever is the greater. On receipt of this payment the event will be confirmed by the forwarding of a copy of our original quote invoice with the deposit deducted from the total. The remaining balance will be invoiced upon confirmation of numbers 1 month prior to the event and is due not later than 10 working days prior to the date of the function.
Payment may be made by BACS bank transfer, cheque or debit/ credit card by telephone. Whilst debit cards are free of charge credit cards are charged at 3% of the invoice total. This charge will be added to the invoice retrospectively to maintain accurate records.
For regular clients, accounts are available with payment terms up to 30 days from date of delivery.
TBC always recommend that clients take out event insurance from a reputable independent insurance supplier.
TBC offer an extensive wine list and a number of drinks packages to suit all tastes and budgets. Glassware is included in the quoted prices, along with wine coolers and the additional staff required to organise this aspect of service.
For clients providing their own drinks during a meal, TBC will charge a drinks service rate of £7.50 per person when required to undertake any of the following duties:
Glassware may be kept for the evening function upon payment of a breakages deposit. The client is responsible for returning the glassware to the crates, ready for pick up on the next working day. Collection of glassware is charged at £15. Any breakages will be charged at cost per glass and deducted from the deposit. This deposit will be returned to the client within 15 working days of the event.
For guests requiring drinks/bar service after food service is complete, TBC can recommend a reputable mobile bar company to provide this.
Catering Facilities & Equipment Hire
For venues without kitchen facilities, catering tents, cooking & refrigeration equipment and a generator are available to hire. Marquees, tables, chairs & linen are all available to hire for functions.
When the client is providing the venue, they must ensure that TBC has sufficient transport access, running water supply, adequate electricity supply and access to a toilet facility.
TBC will make every effort to leave an outside event kitchen as we found it. We will ensure that our equipment is cleared, packed & removed and that rubbish is left bagged. TBC are not responsible for clearing the ‘party area’ unless specifically contracted to do so.
If TBC’s property or that of our suppliers is wilfully or negligently damaged or stolen at an event, their replacement cost is payable by the clients.
TBC reserves the right to substitute products without prior notice.
Delivery & collection
Delivery and collection is free on orders over £500. Smaller orders are subject to a charge of £6.50 (plus VAT) per trip. We will always aim to deliver on time and will contact you as soon as possible if there are any delays.
Complaints must be logged within 24 hours of delivery.
TBC has a strict policy for handling customer information. It is confidential and protected to the fullest extent possible. TBC will not disclose or distribute customer information to third parties without prior written consent of the customer.
