TERMS & CONDITIONS
The terms & conditions are accepted fully by the client when booking an event with Taste Buds Catering (TBC). Please note all prices are subject to the VAT level at the time of the event.
Numbers
Orders under £1000 – TBC advise clients to confirm orders 48 hours prior to delivery, to avoid disappointment.
Orders over £1000 – We ask that clients provide confirmation of final numbers no later than 10 working days prior to an event. After this date, increases in numbers can usually be accommodated but in the event of decreases in numbers, TBC will charge for the total confirmed number.
Menu & Pricing
Prices are correct as of the time that they are quoted and based on the number of estimated guests. Whilst we do our best to maintain prices, under exceptional circumstances* we reserve the right to amend prices up to 6 weeks prior to the event. *Exceptional circumstances include, inflation greater than 5%, guest number reductions greater than 10%.
Drinks Service
For guests providing their own drinks during a meal, TBC charge a drinks service rate when required to undertake any of the following duties: storing and chilling of drinks prior to the event; provision of equipment, such as glasses, trays, ice, fruit; and waiting staff to lay up glassware and refresh drinks supplies. This rate will cover you until food service is complete. Furniture & linen required for drinks service can be provided at additional cost.
For guests requiring drinks after food service, TBC can recommend a reputable mobile bar company to provide this service.
Equipment Hire
For venues without kitchen facilities, catering tents, cooking & refrigeration equipment and a generator are available to hire. The client must ensure that TBC has sufficient transport access, running water supply, adequate electricity supply and access to a toilet facility.
Clearing
TBC will make every effort to leave an outside event kitchen as we found it. We will ensure that our equipment is cleared, packed & removed and that rubbish is left bagged. TBC are not responsible for clearing the ‘party area’ unless specifically contracted to do so.
Payment
For regular clients, accounts are available.
For orders over £200, we ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% in order to secure your booking. Your payment of this deposit confirms your acceptance of our terms and conditions. The remaining balance will be invoiced upon confirmation of numbers and is due no later than 7 working days prior to the event.
Damage
If TBC’s property or that of our suppliers is wilfully or negligently damaged or stolen at an event, their replacement cost is payable by the clients.
Order Confirmation
Orders will be confirmed by email or phone. If your order is not correct or you have not received confirmation by 12 noon the day before delivery, please contact us.
Cancellation
Orders under £200 can be cancelled up to 3 days prior to delivery at no charge. Orders cancelled after this time will be subject to a charge.
Orders over £1500 cancelled with less than 90 days notice are liable for a late cancellation charge of 50% of the estimated total. For events cancelled within 28 days, the full amount will be payable.
Substitutions
TBC reserves the right to substitute products without prior notice.
Delivery & collection
Delivery and collection is free on orders over £500. Smaller orders are subject to a charge of £6.50 (plus VAT) per trip. We will always aim to deliver on time and will contact you as soon as possible if there are any delays.
Customer Complaints
Complaints must be logged within 28 hours of delivery.
Data Protection
TBC has a strict policy for handling customer information. It is confidential and protected to the fullest extent possible. TBC will not disclose or distribute customer information to third parties without prior written consent of the customer.
